China Study Center, University of Peshawar
China Study centre University of Peshawar was recently established with the financial support of Chinese Embassy Islamabad. Peshawar is the heart of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province which has its own geostrategic significance.
It is focusing on issues important for China, Pakistan and other countries of the regional countries. The vast panorama of centre`s research themes include but not limited to Pak-China relations, Pak-China joint projects, Gwadar deep sea port and CPEC. China Study Centre considers it of immense importance to strengthen institutional linkages with Chinese Universities and Think Tanks. Under the proposed project, China Study Centre will develop institutional linkages with Chinese institutions to enhance cooperation and collaboration in different fields of knowledge.
The proposed project is of utmost significance. Under Linkages development China Study Centre will strengthen scientific research on CPEC, culture, cooperation among civilizations, Confucius, and Shanghai Cooperation Organization and will enhance institutional interaction in areas of mutual interests.
The cost of the linkages development project will be Pak Rs. 163.000 millions. The benefits of the project will be multifaceted. The linkages development will strengthen economic relations. It will bring closer Chinese and Pakistani researchers & business community. It will provide information for policy guidelines. It will forward recommendations to federal and provincial governments based on objective research. It will explore avenues to further strengthen China-Pakistan relations under CPEC. The linkages development will not only beneficial to China and Pakistan relations but also to the region at large.
